Abstract

Studies on violence are constant growth, as its understanding encompasses assimilating the different extracts of manifestation, as well as the broadening and depth whose impacts go beyond physical signs. Therefore, analyzing violence involves apprehending, through a vertical and horizontal axis, the multiple ways in which it reveals itself. The work Corpo desfeito, by Jarid Arraes (2022), brings not only the bodily nuances of the narrator Amanda, but also the multiple forms of violence that help to construct her childish body. Therefore, the objective of this study is to understand how the scale of generational violence impacts the fragmentation of the child's body to the point of suppressing the narrator Amanda's life, disembodying her own experiences as a form of survival. Therefore, this study was constructed in a way that contemplated essential axes of analysis such as the corporal extent of violence, whose manifestation occurs through family negligence, domestic work, generational violence and punishment as a disciplinary method, as well as exposure maximum of aggression that leads to the narrator's disembodiment.
