Domestic Violence, men and masculinities

Abstract

Through a relational perspective, the main objective of this article is to understand and analyze how the process of construction of masculinity interferes in the conception of ideas, world visions, values, culminating in the chronification of violent marital relations. The text is based on a research developed with men from labor class involved in violent heterosexual affective conjugal relations whose wives/partners were attended by the Woman’s Service Center (CAM) of the Woman’s Municipal Secretary from Londrina.
