This paper, based on literature review, aimed to demonstrate the application of the Core Conflictual Relationship Theme – CCRT as an instrument to give support to mental health area clinicians on the treatment of personality disorders. The CCRT was developed by Lester Luborsky to measure the pattern of romantic/conflictual relationship according to three components: Wish (W), Response from Other (RO) and Response of Self (RS). The psychotherapist studies relational episodes on his patients measured by CCRT scores and identifies patterns of relationship on the treatment of personality disorders. The CCRT also measures the accuracy of interpretation in psychotherapy. This enables the therapist to plan further decisions.Downloads
