O presente estudo visou investigar o uso e o conhecimento de estudantes e profissionais de psicologia a cerca dos instrumentos de avaliação psicológica comercializados no Brasil. Para tanto foram consultados 304 sujeitos, dentre estudantes e profissionais de psicologia, que assinalaram numa relação de 145 testes, os conhecidos e os utilizados. Os resultados demonstraram que um pequeno número de profissionais conhece e utiliza instrumentos de medida e que houve diferença significativa em relação ao número médio de testes conhecidos de acordo com a titulação dos entrevistados. Além disso, os achados revelaram que psicólogos mestres conhecem mais instrumentos que doutores, assim como especialistas conhecem menos do que graduados.

ABSTRACT
Psychological tests, use and knowledge
The present work aimed to investigate the use and the knowledge of psychology students and professionals about the psychological assessment instruments commercialized in Brazil. For this purpose 304 subjects, psychology students and professionals, checked the known and used tests in a list of 145 tests. The results showed that a small number of professionals know and use measurement procedures and that there was a significant difference related to the average number of known tests according to the graduation level of the interviewed subjects. In addition it was possible to reveal that master degree psychologists know more instruments than doctors degree psychologists as specialists know less than graduated degree psychologists.
