Analysis of the scientific production about the Burnout Syndrome in Brazil

Abstract

The following study aimed to analyze the Brazilian scientific production about Burnout Syndrome in Brazil. For such, a bibliographic search was made in the BVS electronic data basis, as well as, IndexPsi and Pepsic on March 2007. The key words Burnout Syndrome, Burnout, professional debility Syndrome were used. From this search, summaries and classified (adds) were extracted according with the categories: theorical review, research report and instrument validation. 27 articles were identified, being most of them belonging to the category research report. The most investigated categories are teachers and health professionals, being the accomplished publications in psychology magazines and the most productive years were 2002 and 2005.
