The present study aimed to construct an ecological affinity profile and evaluate its relationship with the importance of the Amazon rainforest and with the consideration of the effect of human actions on nature. This study included 345 undergraduate students from the cities of Manaus-AM and Ceres-GO, male and female, over 18 years of age. The research instruments consisted of several scales that measured cognitive, affective and behavioral dimensions in relation to the Amazon rainforest and to nature as a whole. The results indicated that, when assessing the relations of affinity with nature, the beliefs regarding the natural environment and the consideration of future consequences, a structure can be identified that comprises an ecological affinity profile and a utilitarian profile.Downloads
