Relações sociais, cognição na doença de Alzheimer: revisão sistemática

O objetivo deste estudo foi realizar uma revisão sistemática sobre estudos acerca das relações sociais como fator preditor de declínio cognitivo e doença de Alzheimer. Foi realizada uma busca nas bases de dados PubMed, LILACs, BIREME e SCOPUS, utilizando os termos Alzheimer” and “social relationships”. O banco final incluído na análise foi composto por 15 artigos, publicados desde 2007. As pesquisas encontradas indicaram que as relações sociais são consideradas um fator preditor da doença de Alzheimer e de declínio cognitivo. Também, foi constatada a necessidade de um incremento na realização de pesquisas que visem a compreender como o suporte social se desenvolve e é vivenciado por idosos no contexto brasileiro, sugerindo direções futuras para o desenvolvimento de estudos nessa área no país.
