Affective mapping of the resident-community relationship in the context of disapropriation of space

The study performs the affective mapping of the resident-community relationship in a situation of expropriation of space. The appropriation of space is a process by which the individual transforms the environment, printing its marks and, at the same time, incorporating it in its cognitive and affective spheres, using it as a guide for its actions and definition of himself. Expropriation, in turn, consists of a process of making the person alien to the spaces that belong to him. With the qualitative nature, the Affective Maps Generator Questionnaire, was applied to 17 residents of Vila Vicentina, a community threatened with expropriation in Fortaleza, Ceará. The results showed the prevalence of affective images of Agreeableness, Belongingness and Contrast. In conclusion, it was observed that all non-potentiating indicators of the residents' relationship with the community relate to the current threat situation; on the other hand, all potentiating aspects are related to a lasting person-environment relationship.
