Psychology and sexuality device: biopolitic, identities and processes of criminalization
Keywords:
sexuality, identity, criminalization.Abstract
Foucault approaches the existence of a sexuality device, a heterogeneous set that composes a strategy of management and control of bodies, ways of existence and populations. This device works on sexuality through a power over life, producing legitimate and illegitimate forms of sexual practices. In this process, we see the construction of identities and the formation of criminalization processes. This article argues the relationship between the production of identitarian subjectivities and the criminalization processes, since these processes need to give well definite outlines as to what is criminalized. We approach also the ethical positioning of the psychologists about this question, remembering that the practice also produces ways of existence.Downloads
