Youth and adolescence: preliminary considerations

Abstract

This article intends to address the concept of youth in the field of Psychology. From the concept of adolescence, similarities and differences are carried out on the subject. The Social Sciences and Philosophy are called together in this discussion that situates the young in our societies, modern and post-modern. The youth, as a cultural paradigm in the contemporaneity, will be addressed in this article, which proposes a reflection on the processes of subjectivity and the contradictions that involve the departure of youth entering the adult world and in post-modernity.
