Keywords:
HIV/AIDS, family health strategy, integrality, health care.Abstract
Changes in the illness experience of people affected by HIV infection have triggered new requirements related to health care and needs, which can be contemplated by the principle of integral care from acess to Family Health Strategy. The aim of the study was to understand how HIV/AIDS patients handle their health care and their perspectives about care integration. Open interviews were carried on with 05 users of specializing unit in infectious diseases treatment and analyzed according to thematic content analysis procedures. The Thematic Category named Appropriation of Care Lines has grouped contents related to Communication Needs, Access and Health Care, which pointed out emerging contradictions in the relationship between health needs and (dis) integrality of the health system, pointing to fragmented conceptions of care and difficulties in the exchange among three care levels. Thus, the therapeutic project should consider that communication needs, access and care are also permeated by the users’ subjectivity.Downloads
