How to address important issues such as: the essential and superfluous consumption and place them between the two dimensions: market and faith? Here is a provocative question that will guide the text. Following Jesus, the Church is faced with complex situations and see confused when having to distinguish between the essential and the superfluous. A Luke text analysis (7:38-50) can help in the search for more conscious ways to not only deal with the reality of market, generation of wealth and waste, but, under the light of the Holy Spirit, answer about the essentials of life.
