Abstract

This article interprets the human condition concept in Hannah Arendt’s thoughts. To this end, the method of denaturalization is explained: the criterion of human nature is rejected to, instead, elaborate what the human condition would be. From this, the central argument seeks to describe the theoretical gains arising from the concepts of conditionality and intentionality. The first concerns an existential situation in which one is affected by the world. The second relates to how human beings are invariably linked to a world that intentionally affects them and to the intentional movement that each human being carries out when acting. Therefore, the human condition is revealed through an existential situation of belonging and estrangement from the world and a double intentionality between human plurality and the common world.
