Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The text follows the journal's formatting requirements according to the "Guidelines for Authors"found in the "Submissions" section.
  • It is mandatory to fill in the Article Cover, with the article information. This document must be forwarded separately at the time of submission.
  • Authors must disclose the use of artificial intelligence at any stage of the research and must complete the AI and Technology Statement, clearly indicating how and which tool was used.

Author Guidelines

  • The journal publishes works by researchers with doctorates, doctoral students, masters and master's students.
  • Files sent for submission must be in open text format (Word).
  • Articles, reviews and interviews in different languages ​​are accepted.
  • The author must keep his registration profile up to date and, for the purpose of submitting a new text, fulfill all the conditions listed below in "Rules for Submission".
  • Author information must contain the following data: full name with correct spelling; ORCID (see: orcid.org); affiliation: institution, city, union state and country; email; complete physical postal address of the corresponding author, which may be the institutional one, provided at the end of the article; source of research funding (if any); potential conflicts of interest (if any).
  • The contribution must be original and unpublished. It should also not be under review for publication by another journal; if this is not the case, justify in “Comments to the editor” when submitting the text on the portal.
  • The publication of works is subject to approval by reviewers. The originality in the treatment of the theme, the consistency and rigor of the approach, and its contribution to the thematic line are taken into account. The names of the reviewers will remain confidential, and the names of the authors will also be omitted from the reviewers.
  • The spontaneous submission of articles and their subsequent acceptance for publication automatically imply the assignment of the rights of the first publication to the journal. Intellectual copyright remains with the author. Any subsequent reproduction, by any means, can only be done with prior agreement between the journal and the author and with the proper citation of the source.
  • The concepts emitted in the works are the exclusive responsibility of the authors, not necessarily reflecting the opinion of the Editorial Committee and the Editorial Board.

Rules for Submission

  • The formatting of the submitted text must be done according to our template.
  • The submission must be made in two files: one identified, with the authors' data (full name, email, ORCID, institutional address and mini resume), and the other without identification.
  • Number of pages: articles: from 15 to 25 pages; reviews: 3-9 pages; interviews: from 5 to 15 pages. The paper used must be in A4 size, with 2.5 cm margins, font Cambria, size 12, interlinear spacing 1.5.
  • The magazine adopts, as a reference standard, the current edition of ABNT [Brazilian Association of Technical Standards] (ABNT - General Rules).
  • Citations and references must be complete and in accordance with the standard adopted by the journal.
  • Articles, reviews and interviews in different languages ​​are accepted. In addition to the language in which the article is written, it is mandatory that there be a title, abstract and keywords in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The title, abstract and keywords in the language in which the work is written must be registered first.
  • Number of words in the abstract: from 100 to 200 words; Keywords: 3 to 5 words, separated by semicolons.
  • Illustrations (figures, graphs, charts, tables, etc.) must be inserted in the document, close to the text to which they relate, receiving a title with numbering (eg, Graph 1 – Respondent Data) and indication of the source.
  • Optionally, authors may register acknowledgments at the end of the article.

Reviews

Section dedicated to reviews of academic works published in the last two years.

Characteristics of the Section:

  • Extension: 3 to 9 pages (follow the Guidelines for Authors).
  • Reviews from doctors, doctoral students, masters and master's students are accepted.

Articles

Section designed to publish authorial scientific articles, focused on specific themes proposed for each issue by the journal's editorial team.

Characteristics of the Section:

  • Extension: from 15 to 25 pages (follow the Guidelines for Authors).
  • Articles from doctors, doctoral students, masters and master's students are accepted.
  • Articles are evaluated according to the Peer Review Process.

AS NARRATIVAS DE FILIAÇÃO NA CONTEMPORANEIDADE

 

 

Celebramos em 2025 os 50 anos de publicação do importante livro de Philippe Lejeune: Le Pacte Autobiographique (Seuil, 1975), obra que marcou uma inflexão nas pesquisas sobre a autobiografia. O teórico que transformou os estudos sobre as escritas de si e direcionou os holofotes para um gênero, até então desprestigiado, nunca cessou de revisitar e modificar suas noções. Assim como as reflexões de Lejeune, o seu objeto de pesquisa também se constrói em permanente transformação. Meio século depois da publicação do texto seminal do teórico, vivemos uma era em que as escritas de si ocupam uma posição central dentro das produções literárias, sendo permanentemente reconfiguradas. No contexto francófono, a publicação e a boa recepção do Dictionnaire de l’autobiographie. Écritures de soi en langue française, em 2017, sob a organização de Françoise Simonet-Tenant, refletem o fôlego dessa modalidade literária.

No dossiê “Narrativas de filiação na contemporaneidade”, buscamos reunir artigos em torno de obras movidas pela indagação, ou mesmo investigação sobre a ascendência como estratégia de autocompreensão. Trata-se de narradores que investigam uma ancestralidade da qual se sentem herdeiros, em geral problemáticos; falam do outro para, na verdade, falar de si, operando um deslocamento. “O relato do outro – pai, mãe ou tal antepassado – é o desvio necessário para chegar a si, para se compreender nessa herança: a narrativa de filiação é um substituto da autobiografia” (Viart, 2009, p. 80).

Desde meados da década de 1990, Dominique Viart forjou o termo “narrativa de filiação” [récit de filiation] para destacar um número considerável de publicações que abarcam a temática da filiação, da herança e da transmissão, mobilizando estratégias recorrentes. De Annie Ernaux a Leila Sebbar, Maryse Condé e Annette Wieviorka, ou ainda Pierre Michon, Dany Laferrière, Émmanuel Carrère ou Édouard Louis, a narrativa de filiação tornou-se uma das manifestações autobiográficas mais recorrentes na atualidade. No contexto brasileiro, podemos pensar, por exemplo, nos nomes de Tatiana Salem Levy, Julián Fuks, Adriana Lisboa, José Henrique Bortoluci, Gabriel Abreu, Noemi Jaffe, Conceição Evaristo, Salim Miguel e muitos outros e outras. 

As narrativas de filiação dizem respeito a uma tendência ampla que, apesar de contemplar variações narratológicas distintas, podem ser consideradas como um fenômeno de época, presente em diferentes regiões do mundo globalizado, reunindo tanto textos referenciais como ficcionais. Nesse vasto espectro, encontramos muitas obras inseridas em contextos históricos marcados pela violência extrema, como o da Shoah, os genocídios, as ditaduras hispano-americanas, a escravidão ou a despossessão advinda da colonização. As figuras parentais aparecem também no cerne de obras que problematizam a mobilidade social e os conflitos enfrentados por narradores trânsfugas de classe.

O dossiê busca contribuir para a reflexão sobre as narrativas de filiação como modalidade recorrente das escritas de si, a partir de década de 80 do século XX e, sobretudo, no primeiro quarto do novo século. Busca pensar, ainda, nas reverberações das narrativas de filiação na literatura como um todo, não apenas nas escritas de si, mas impactando inclusive as tendências da ficção contemporânea e ensejando os “romances de filiação”.
