Challenges of the social educative practice of freedom restrictions on adolescents in conflict with the law: Would it be ressocialization or social exclusion?

Crime and violence practised by adolescents are currently a social, institutional and politician problem, that afflicts families and defies the politic society to present institutional answers, efficient and effective. It objectified to identify the social representations (RS) of the social-educative practice of freedom privation. In such a way, the sample was not-probabilist and intentional, constituted by one 115 adolescents (institutionalized in conflict with the law, with their freedom restricted), that answered to a Free Test of Association of Words. The collected data was submitted to the Analysis of Factorial of Correspondence through software tri-deux-mots. The results predominate negative representations of the social-educative practice of freedom privation and of the ressocialization institution. These adolescents attribute meanings to themselves, constituting their subjectivity and defining their paper while social citizens. It is expected that the results supply subsidies to the understanding of the complexity of the biopsychosocial aspects, of the ressocialization of institutionalized adolescents.Downloads
